Chief Financial Officer - Apparel Retailer

Our client, a high-growth Christian apparel retailer, is currently seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and operations, along with a proven track record in scaling and managing the financial aspects of a high-growth e-commerce company.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and long-term business objectives.
Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Provide financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders.
Establish and manage financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
Oversee the management of cash flow and working capital to support the company’s growth and financial stability.
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring a high level of performance and expertise.
Collaborate with other executive team members to develop and execute the company’s overall strategy.
Assume full ownership of high-level profit and loss, as well as departmental or marketplace-specific profit and loss.
Take full ownership of all marketing objectives, including net new customer acquisition, subscription acquisition, customer lifetime value (LTV), and estimated transaction value (ETV)
Manage the marketing budget and ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals and objectives.
Lead the negotiation of contracts, cost of goods sold (COGs), vendor agreements, partnerships, and other financial arrangements.
Oversee the analysis and forecasting of customer lifetime value to support marketing metrics such as customer acquisition costs (CACs) and other key performance indicators.
Requirements:
IMPORTANT: Experience in the e-commerce industry, preferably with a focus on apparel or consumer goods
IMPORTANT: Ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or CPA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proven track record of managing the financial aspects of a high-growth company, including
scaling operations and managing cash flow.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
