eCommerce Analyst - CPG Company

Providence, RI area (hybrid in-office)

 

We are seeking a data analyst to provide ecommerce reporting and data analytics for the ecommerce team to drive key decision making and success measurement of the business, reporting to the Ecommerce Leader. In this role, you’re charged with developing, managing and distributing dashboards and visualizations to enable better, faster and more insightful decision making across online marketplaces and our Direct to Consumer site.

The successful candidate will enable decision making across every aspect of how we go to market online, from sales and promotions, to content and advertising performance.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Holistically support account team with data, reporting and regular analysis to identify and execute business opportunities
  • Weekly reporting/tracking using available platform reporting eg Sales, Inventory, Promotions, Advertising, etc
  • Prepare weekly and monthly trends, competitive analysis, and promotional analysis along with insights using available data
  • Generate item level and platform-level forecasts, and review weekly to ensure forecast and orders are in-sync
  • Gather and analyze data to understand problems and address them proactively

Who You Are

  • Experienced ecommerce analyst with a proven track record for using data to generating business driving insights
  • Curious and results driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Possesses advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years direct experience analyzing and generating ecommerce business driving insights for a brand/brands; CPG experience a plus
  • Direct, hands-on-keys analytics experience working with or for eCommerce marketplaces (i.e. Amazon, Walmart.com) data
  • Experience in managing or working on paid search and display advertising data
  • Experience working or directly managing a Direct to Consumer brand/platform data
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including understanding of ecommerce and retail KPI’s, with proven ability to draw conclusions and recommend action based on data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that prioritize both professionalism and collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Certifications in Google, Facebook or Amazon advertising encouraged
