About the Role
Our client is a major retail media network looking for an energetic and driven Junior Partner Manager to join their rapidly growing Emerging & Marketplace sales pod. In this high-velocity role, you will be on the front lines of retail media expansion, tasked with unlocking revenue from a vast community of marketplace sellers and emerging brands.
Reporting to the Director of Sales for Emerging & Marketplace, you will act as a consultant and growth engine for small-to-mid-sized vendors. Your primary mission is to drive adoption of the self-service ad platform, transitioning vendors from zero spend to active, always-on advertisers. This is a perfect role for a hungry sales professional looking to build a career in Retail Media, AdTech, and Digital Sales.
New Business Acquisition
- Execute high-volume outbound sales activity (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to engage net-new marketplace sellers and 1P vendors not yet advertising
- Articulate the media network value proposition to business owners and marketing managers, closing them on initial test budgets and pilot campaigns
- Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene (Salesforce/Boostr), logging all activity, accurately forecasting revenue, and moving hundreds of prospects through the funnel
Platform Adoption & Enablement
- Become a power user of the ad platform, serving as the primary onboarding guide for clients through registration, campaign setup, and wallet funding
- Identify clients relying on manual support and proactively train them to use self-service tools
- Act as the first line of defense for new advertisers facing setup hurdles, working closely with Ad Operations to resolve friction points quickly
Account Growth & Retention
- Monitor campaign performance across your book of business and proactively reach out with data-backed recommendations to drive incremental revenue
- Identify high-performing brands within your portfolio and pitch them on seasonal events, new ad formats, or increased investment
- Gather real-time vendor feedback on the platform experience and relay insights to leadership to help shape the product roadmap
Skills You'll Need
- Sales DNA: Hunter mentality with comfort cold calling, handling objections, and exceeding numerical targets
- Digital Fluency: Comfortable learning new software quickly; familiarity with self-service ad platforms (Amazon Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads) is a distinct advantage
- Communication: Able to explain complex digital concepts simply, both in writing and on Zoom demos
- Agility: Thrives in fast-paced environments managing a high volume of small accounts without letting details slip
- Data Literacy: Able to interpret basic media metrics (ROAS, CPM, CTR) and use them to tell a story to clients
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management; experience in digital media, SaaS, or eCommerce preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Team player eager to learn from leadership and share wins and best practices with peers
- Required to work onsite in the NYC office 2+ days per week for team collaboration and training
