About the Role
Our client is a leading wellness DTC brand with a dominant presence on Amazon, a strong subscription following on Shopify, and distribution in major natural retail chains. With tens of millions of monthly social media views and a fast-growing community, this brand has built real momentum across digital and retail channels.
They are looking for a data-informed, concept-driven Lead Creative Strategist to own the creative engine behind their paid media performance. This is a hands-on, iterative, experiment-heavy role at the center of paid media growth. You'll report to the VP of Growth and partner closely with the Growth, Media Buying, and in-house Video Editing teams to develop and scale creative that fuels omni-channel acquisition and retention across Shopify, Amazon, and Retail.
Creative Strategy & Ideation
- Own creative strategy for all performance marketing assets across Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat, YouTube, and more, with Meta as the top priority
- Write clear, compelling briefs grounded in audience insights and performance data
- Develop testing hypotheses, hooks, angles, concepts, and storyboards that increase CTR, thumbstop rate, and ROAS
- Partner with Growth leadership to align creative strategy with channel goals, launches, product pushes, and promotions
- Analyze top-performing ads using tools like Motion and Northbeam to drive iteration
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the in-house Video Editing team to ensure briefs translate into high-impact edits delivered on time
- Partner with the Creative Coordinator to manage UGC pipelines, creator briefs, and content submissions
- Collaborate with Influencer, Retention, and Social teams to maintain alignment and repurpose assets across channels
Creative Sprints & Output Planning
- Co-lead the two-week Creative Sprint process with Growth and Editing teams
- Determine creative output needs, product priorities, and iteration strategy for each Sprint
- Provide performance-focused feedback on drafts and first cuts in Frame.io or similar tools
- Document creative learnings, tests, and insights to guide future direction
- Recap Sprint performance and identify optimization opportunities with Growth and Editing
Trend Awareness & Innovation
- Stay current on platform trends, emerging formats, and performance-driven creative strategies
- Test new hooks, structures, and creator styles to uncover scalable winners
- Identify opportunity gaps and recommend new creative approaches
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in creative strategy, paid social, or growth-oriented creative roles at a wellness or supplement DTC brand
- Proven track record developing high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms
- Strong understanding of creative testing frameworks, iterative production, and paid media strategy
- Exceptional concepting, brief-writing, copy ideation, and storytelling skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of platform best practices and performance-creative trends
- Analytical capabilities and experience using creative analytics tools (Motion, Northbeam, etc.)
- Highly collaborative, self-directed, and organized; comfortable working across Creative, Media, and Growth
- Experience working with UGC creators strongly preferred
- Familiarity with video editing workflows (no editing required)
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment
