Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Amazon/Online Retail Sales is a strategic role responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing sales opportunities across Amazon and other key online retail platforms. This position requires a knowledgeable commercial professional with a deep understanding of e-commerce, proven business building results, strong analytical skills, successful cross functional collaboration as well as exceptional business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Sales Leadership:

-Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans for Amazon and other online retailers, aligning with overall company goals and driving unmatched sales growth.

-Identify new business opportunities and retail alliances to expand the company’s presence in and revenue from the e-commerce space.

-Drive innovative sales initiatives by leveraging product, pricing, assortment, visual merchandising and promotions to drive share and stay ahead of industry trends and competition.

 

Relationship Management:

-Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Amazon and other online retail partners.

-Negotiate favorable terms and agreements to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotional opportunities.

-Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, innovation, demand planning, finance and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of profitable sales strategies.

 

Sales Team Management:

-Lead and manage internal sales resources supporting Amazon and online retailer channels, as well as sales and marketing agency partners.

-Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews.

-Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales team.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

-Utilize data analytics to identify trends, track sales performance, and measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.

-Generate regular reports for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

 

Market Research and Competitor Analysis:

-Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities in the e-commerce space.

-Use market research to make informed decisions and proactively adjust sales strategies to meet evolving market demands.

 

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

-Five to seven years fast moving consumer goods experience

-Proven experience in sales roles with a focus on Amazon and online retail channels.

-Strong understanding of e-commerce trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape.

-Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

-Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.

-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Effective communication and presentation abilities.
