eCommerce UX Designer - CPG Brand

NYC (hybrid in-office)

 

We are looking for an eCommerce UX Designer to help us create meaningful digital experiences our customers love for our direct-to-consumer digital touchpoints. As a UX designer, you’ll keep the customer journey top of your mind, solving problems that matter most to our users. You’ll help define and refine our design systems with close collaboration among UX, content strategy, and development. Ensuring a seamless user experience, reducing friction while increasing accessibility. You are passionate about design and solving user problems with a curiosity for all things digital.

 

Responsibilities


-Define intuitive experiences that deliver on the business strategies and objectives
-Apply research and customer insight methods to understand our customers’ wants and needs.
-Advise on optimization to remove user friction and increase engagement
-Provide designs for development to mature platform capability and optimize user experience, responsive behavior, and ADA compliance.
-Advise on approach to updating design system and oversee execution of updates
-Closely collaborate with developers, PO’s, content strategy, and UI/UX design
-Experience developing, curating, and updating design systems
-Using data to inform design, understand the platform’s performance, and identify improvement opportunities


Qualifications


-Bachelor’s Degree required.
-You are passionate about design and solving user problems with a curiosity for all things digital
-Knowledge of driving and applying user-centered design practices which can include the creation of user journey maps, competitive analysis reports, sitemaps, and personas.
-Experience developing, curating, and updating design systems.
-Experience developing wireframes and prototypes, knowing when to apply the best methods for the challenge at hand.
-Experience synthesizing user research and customer insights.
-Using data to inform design, understand the platform’s performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
-Basic understanding of front-end code language and coding practice.
-Experience presenting and the ability to convey concepts and other information clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
-Proficient with Adobe XD, Figma, Principle, In Vision, or comparable applications.
-Up to date with the latest UX/UI trends and techniques.
