Job Overview:

As the VP of Wholesale, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and performance of the wholesale department. This role requires a leader with a strong understanding of the apparel industry, comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce, and experience managing high-performing teams.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy to increase market penetration and drive revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to align the wholesale strategy with the company’s overall business objectives.

  • Sales and Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the wholesale market.

  • Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with partners and vendors.

  • Customer and Partner Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, vendors, and partners.

  • Work with the customer service and marketing teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage, coach, and mentor the wholesale team.

  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team, setting clear expectations, and providing constructive feedback.

  • Financial Management

  • Oversee the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the wholesale division.

  • Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  • Market Research and Analysis

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

  • Use market insights to inform strategy development and decision making.

  • Product Management

  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure product offerings meet the needs of the wholesale market.

  • Ensure inventory management processes are effective and efficient.
