Our client, a high-growth DTC brand on Shopify Plus seeks a VP of Engineering. This is a highly experienced and accomplished technology leader responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers to implement cutting-edge technology solutions at a rapid pace. The VP of Engineering will also be responsible for building a performant team by hiring, performance managing, coaching, and mentoring the team.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to implement cutting-edge technology solutions at a rapid pace
- Build a performant team by hiring, performance managing, coaching, and mentoring the team
- Develop and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals
- Define and evaluate enterprise and domain architectures
- Coordinate with product management and business teams to help define the technology roadmap and strategy
- Manage the technology budget and vendor relationships
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, and that the highest quality standards are met
- Manage and mentor other engineering leaders
What you’ll bring:
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on ecommerce
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Experience with a variety of software development methodologies
- Experience with ecommerce platform management, Shopify Plus experience a plus
- Experience with digital marketing technologies and data platform management
- Experience with stakeholder management and project development methodologies
- Experience with budget management and technology vendor management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Experience with agile development methodologies
