About the Role
Our client, a home goods company with a broad rug and home décor assortment, is looking for a commercially minded, strategic eCommerce Account Manager to own the growth, profitability, and health of its dropship retail portfolio across both 1P (Wholesale/DSV) and 3P (Marketplace) channels. Managing a large, high-variation SKU catalog, this role acts as the business owner for major accounts including but not limited to Walmart, Target, Lowe's, Kohl's, and Rugs Direct.
Amazon is managed separately today, but hands-on Amazon experience (Vendor Central and/or Seller Central) is strongly preferred, giving a candidate a fuller command of the marketplace mechanics this portfolio runs on. Supported by an in-house Digital Shelf team that owns technical catalog execution and listing setup, this role focuses on commercial strategy: retailer relationships, revenue and margin performance, promotional planning, product visibility, and portfolio-wide growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share across a diverse portfolio of 1P dropship vendor (DSV) accounts and 3P marketplace.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners, negotiating pricing, promotions, and terms to optimize profitability and long-term growth.
- Pricing & Channel Strategy: Set and monitor pricing and promotions on 3P marketplaces while managing MAP policy to prevent channel conflict across the portfolio.
- eCommerce Analytics: Track KPIs, analyze sales, category trends, traffic, and conversion data to identify opportunities and guide decision making.
- Forecasting: Work closely with supply chain and demand planning to align production and inventory levels with sales forecasts.
- Inventory & Performance Health: Monitor out-of-stock trends and dropship compliance (late shipments, cancellations) to protect account health and buy-box/featured-offer ownership across platforms.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing major eCommerce accounts across both 1P and 3P dropship models
- Deep experience navigating retailer and vendor portals
- Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central experience is a strong plus, even though this role won't manage that account day to day
- Prior experience managing large, multi-variant (size/color/shape) assortments is highly preferred; rugs and home décor experience is a plus
- Proven ability to drive commercial growth while partnering with internal operational teams (Digital Shelf, Supply Chain, Marketing/Creative)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and develop actionable insights to drive performance
Please note: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
