About the Role
Our client is an eCommerce agency that helps leading brands grow across every major digital marketplace. Its ventures division focuses on new, innovative investments in high-growth marketplaces, giving you a startup environment backed by the resources of a larger company.
The team is looking for a seasoned, technically fluent Senior Product Manager to lead zero-to-one product development across emerging commerce platforms, connected data products, AI-enabled workflows, and strategic integrations. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a product leader who can take an ambiguous opportunity from problem definition through discovery, prototype, strategy, roadmap, launch, and iteration.
You will work at the intersection of social commerce, commerce data, APIs, vendor platforms, clean rooms and data lakes, and AI, turning fragmented signals and disparate data sources into useful, scalable outcomes for clients and internal teams. The role supports the division’s social commerce initiatives, including TikTok Shop and adjacent creator, affiliate, paid media, and marketplace capabilities, with a broader mandate to build the next generation of commerce products, data capabilities, measurement solutions, and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Strategy
- Lead zero-to-one discovery and development: identify unmet needs, define the problem, validate customer and market demand, form product hypotheses, and take the strongest opportunities from concept to scalable product
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for social commerce, commerce data, integration, and AI-enabled initiatives
- Use rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, user research, and structured experiments to test assumptions early and make informed investment decisions before committing significant engineering effort
- Own roadmap prioritization using customer value, commercial return, GMV and revenue potential, adoption, operational impact, technical feasibility, risk, and time to market
- Develop an AI-first product approach, finding opportunities for AI to improve insights, decisioning, workflow automation, commerce operations, content processes, and user experience
Technical Product Leadership
- Translate business needs, platform changes, customer feedback, and technical constraints into clear requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable release plans
- Engage credibly in technical discussions on APIs, webhooks, OAuth, permissions, token management, SDKs, data models, event schemas, workflow orchestration, and third-party integrations
- Shape requirements for data ingestion, normalization, identity resolution, data quality, governance, clean rooms, data lakes and warehouses, measurement environments, and system-of-record decisions
- Partner closely with Engineering, Data, Design, Client Solutions, Operations, Sales, Legal, Security, and executive leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable products
Partners & Market
- Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and platform partners, leading technical due diligence, capability assessment, roadmap alignment, delivery oversight, and escalation
- Form a strong point of view on where to build, buy, partner, integrate, or prototype, and communicate the rationale clearly to leadership
- Stay current on social commerce, creator and affiliate ecosystems, marketplace platforms, retail media, AI capabilities, data and privacy trends, and platform API changes
Who You Are
- A seasoned product manager operating at a senior level, with demonstrated ownership of products from initial concept through launch and iteration
- A natural zero-to-one builder, energized by ambiguity, who can create structure from incomplete information and turn a nascent idea into a validated strategy and execution plan
- A self-starter who can frame a problem, gather the right inputs, build alignment, and make decisions without excessive direction
- Technically fluent and credible with engineering and data teams. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you understand how modern software, integrations, data systems, cloud services, and AI-enabled applications are designed and delivered
- Comfortable with APIs, platform ecosystems, authentication and authorization patterns, data pipelines, data lakes and warehouses, clean rooms, and vendor-managed technologies
- Experienced in social commerce, marketplaces, retail media, ad tech, creator and affiliate technology, SaaS, or adjacent digital commerce ecosystems; TikTok Shop experience is strongly preferred
- AI-focused and pragmatic, using prototypes and experimentation to connect disparate data into usable outcomes while weighing data quality, privacy, security, supportability, and ROI
- Highly analytical and outcome-oriented, able to separate interesting ideas from the highest-return opportunities
- Comfortable working directly with executives, technical teams, clients, and partners, and able to explain complex concepts clearly to any audience
- A strong collaborator with excellent written communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- 7+ years of product management, product strategy, or technical product leadership in software, SaaS, commerce technology, marketplace technology, ad tech, data, or platform environments
- Experience with TikTok Shop, TikTok for Business, Amazon, Reacher, or related social commerce and retail media platforms
- Experience delivering products involving APIs, integrations, third-party platforms, data pipelines, multi-system workflows, or connector frameworks
- Experience with AI/LLM-enabled products, intelligent workflow automation, agents, or retrieval and evaluation patterns
- Experience with data warehouses and lakes, clean rooms, identity matching, data governance, and measurement, using technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma
- Experience managing external vendors, strategic technology partnerships, and commercial and technical trade-offs
- Experience in a startup, innovation, incubation, consultancy, or highly matrixed enterprise environment, working in Agile or iterative product development
Location & Compensation
- Location: Hybrid, in office in Seattle, WA; Rogers, AR; or Baltimore, MD
- Base salary: Up to $160K, depending on experience
